Matthew 13:44-52
Jesus said to the crowds, ‘The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field which someone has found; he hides it again, goes off happy, sells everything he owns and buys the field.
There is one treasure I would love to experience. I was watching The Chosen episodes and in one of them Jesus winked at one of his disciples or friends I cannot remember which. I would love with all my heart to experience one wink of Jesus. My heart would simply just melt.
What a treasure it was to have lived in the time of Jesus and to have watched him as he taught the Apostles and Disciples after calling them to follow him. He was really human and really divine.
You dear friends far and near have your own treasures. What is your treasure?
I was visiting a grandmother once and I asked her the question. What is your treasure? She raised her arm and showed me in the gesture all the photos of all her children and grandchildren and said – These are my treasures.
I would say that the most important treasurers are tied up with our relationships. We have so many memories that pile up one on top of the other. We can take one out at a time and hold it in our heart and recall. Memories are something that no one can take from us.
