For those of you who get Bible Alive the 5th July reflection is very good. For those who do not get Bible Alive I will share this day’s reflection with you. Someone once told me that one insight is worth more than a library full of books.
The insight is that Jesus’ death wasn’t the victory of the enemy, but the defeat and overcoming of the enemy’s hold over the human race.
Today’s Gospel could therefore be inviting us to see in the pigs a prophetic image of Jesus, drawing to himself all of humanity’s tribulations and destroying them through death.
