Evil thoughts are best destroyed by good thoughts that crowd them, evil loves by stronger loves of the good. Evil is not to be fought, head-on, by mere brute willpower; it is better for us to flank it, to drive it from the field by a greater intensity of goodness, a greater love of God. A mind filled with ideas of love and beauty has little room for evil notions.
